Beneath the Surface Investigation

• Participated in a six-week research project for the Invisible Institute’s long-term investigation into gender-based violence and the Chicago Police Department

• Joined weekly meetings to read case files and provide emotional support when reading difficult files

• Read 200+ case files, tagging the documents that showed evidence of gender-based discrimination

• Developed collaborative skills by sharing ideas and feedback in the calls and assisting fellow volunteers
